History: Local pissed off mage gets trapped in a contest between gods, dies and kills the other guy frequently to score points for their god and is reborn too many times: You won't believe what happens next!

That's an extremely abridged premise of Mira's world. They attempted to kill the gods a few times because they were sick of being a pawn, but this resulted in their memory being wiped after each cycle. While Mira tries to figure out a way to stop them, their soul--and whole being--bears the consequences of countless memory wipes. By the time they make a decision on what to do, they're pretty messed up because their soul is corrupted, and it's not an inconsequential amount. When they finally break into the gods' realm, the only thing they feel they can do is kill them. It works, but Mira realizes too late that they made the biggest mistake of their life: One of the gods has just enough strength to merge with Mira's already fucked up soul. From then on, Mira's struggle is that of trying to keep their own identity, because the god is very determined to completely make them a vessel.

Personality: There's a general sense of wrongness upon encountering them. While they do their best to be friendly and not let anyone catch onto the fact that they're possessed by a vengeful god, it sort of... doesn't really work. They really do try, but with their emotions somewhat deadened and their being "spacey" because they often try to focus on not letting the god merge completely with their soul, it's not exactly successful a lot of the time. Still, they try very hard, and when they're in control and able to suppress their literal other half, they're fairly easygoing, helpful, and earnest; it just isn't often that this happens.

Powers:
- Mira is able to sense the emotions of people around them. They can even manipulate emotions, but they prefer not to of their own volition.
- Since they have a god's spirit hanging out inside them and making life hell, they're extremely sturdy. Obviously, a god doesn't want their vessel to die or be damaged easily. For example, they can fall from high places and sustain only minor injuries, though even these aren't a problem because Mira has extremely accelerated healing. They're very strong, too, able to throw people around like a ragdoll. Finally, they're fast, due in part to how light and short they are, but accelerated by their unwanted roommate.
- Light powers from the parasite from hell. Examples but not limited to (because even they aren't aware of the scope of their power): summoning a ball of light for illumination; absorbing light to make a place darker; concentrating light into deadly spears that also cause intense burns; light touch that can mark someone for tracking but can also be used offensively to burn; and finally, something they adapted themselves (which very much infuriates said god): healing. It's still fairly weak and they can heal only very minor injuries. Using any of these powers aside from healing takes a huge toll on their body--i.e., they're easily weakened and drained, thus making it easier for the god to puppeteer them.
